Shih Ching (Guangdong, 1775 - Macao, 1844) was the first and most famous Chinese piratess also known as Zhèng Shì. From prostitute to terror of the China Sea, shook the fleets of the 19th century. Ching Shis had the largest pirate fleet in history under his command:
- 300 junks
- 40,000 pirates, including men, women and children were present.
Ching Shis terrified and came into conflict with all the trading powers of the time: the British Empire, the Portuguese Empire and even the Qing Dynasty.
Ching Shih is represented, quoted and told in numerous books, novels, video games and films about pirates.
Chinh Shis is considered by many to be the most fearsome and famous pirate in all of history.
